What I am doing this afternoon

Okay, back from my dog walk, let's talk about this afternoon/evening's work. 

First off. I want to talk a little bit about what is going on with the theme of this army and what I want to do with it. 

I made a reference in my last post about how I was thinking of two things while I was making this list. I wanted a list that rewarded carefully crafted tactical planning and a list that made me think of wasteland raiders.

Mind you I am new to the grand scale of 40k. I don't know lore that well. I know little pockets. Some of this is bound to be wrong, or not in the canon, or just boring. But I want a story that both builds my list and one that builds my paint scheme at the same time. 

So, to do that I am going to get some idea of lore and where I can work in the worlds of 40k. What rules I am invariably going to bend and which ones I will break. Also, I want to come up with a little bit of the theme of this blog so I am going to surf around looking for ideas at the same time.
