Agri-Planet business is booming

I often want to make bases that are...more elaborate...than what is required. Since we're on a back-water agri-world forgotten by the Imperium of man we should reflect that in some way. Now, I don't know lore very well but I have gathered a few things about agri-worlds.

1) They produce food
So when you have forge-worlds it makes sense that everything on that world is entirely based around industrial manufacture. Well, it doesn't, that is stupid and nearly everyone can understand why it is stupid but the lore says it isn't stupid so it isn't stupid. The same argument applies to hive-worlds. Given in the story of Warhammer 40,000 these worlds exist and aren't stupid we need to have a world that produces a fuckton of excess food, so much so that the Imperium sends food fro one planet to another. So...there should be some reflection of agriculture on the bases I want to make.

2) They are back-waters
Even on top of me choosing a world that has reverted itself even further back than the golden age of technology we are talking about a technological and cultural pocket of old humans who spend their days growing food for an Emperor they have stopped believing in generations ago. So we should likely show some technological and cultural irrelevancy or at very least make hints to it right?

So we know we don't get to take from the tippy-top of industrial production. So we're likely still talking about industrial farming instead of peasant farming. But we're definitely not talking about vertical and climate-controlled factory farming are we? What does the internet have to say?

Also, and let's get this out of the way right now, is there such thing as Chaos tainted food? Say my astropath takes us into the warp to deliver to the warriors of Fenris. We travel through the warp, but the luck 10,000 humans on board the ship all escape the taint. Can the Chaos Gods attempt to tempt food instead? It would make sense that most food is transported in ways where it is preserved, but what if you were transporting a cow to the front for tasty beef ribs for Space Vikings lodged there? Could you have bloodthirsty Khorne Corn?
This pleases me

Regardless, I am trying to decide if this wasteland's grass tufts will be replaced by errant wheat stalks. I haven't seen a great tutorial online for wheat that isn't "I bought this fully finished product and stuck it in the ground. That's how you make a wheat field." So if anyone out there has suggestions I am open.
